There’s a magnet on my fridge - not sure exactly how it got there, but it’s a quote from Thoreau. It says:
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.”
Now ordinarily i tend to sort of gloss over the grandiose inspirational quotes, cause there’s only so much fluff a person can handle in the oft-times harsh reality of life on this marvelous planet we call earth. Nevertheless, today the thing was beautiful to me - i dare say uplifting. I’ve been seeing that quote for ages and not paying much attention, but tonight it popped out at me. So what’s different?
Basically, I’m feeling a bit inspired, feeling like i just released a whole bunch of crap and now i can dance again - feelin’ like goin’ crazy and dancing through life. I’m still a cynical old curmudgeon when it comes to happiness formulas and spiritual mumbo-jumbo, but today is different. There’s a big secret here, though. Something i haven’t fessed up to yet…..
Okay, maybe it’s not a huge secret, but today i went to my first yoga class in several months….
Not just any yoga class though! I took a kick-ass power yoga class at my favorite studio, with one of my all-time favorite teachers, who shall go unnamed (there are too many people there already…! Counted almost 100 today) Yeah, it’s been a long winter and i’ve been buried in work with getting this whole multimedia design company project up and running, and keepin’ my head above water. The class was one of the hardest ever, but now i’m ready to go out and kick some proverbial behind, and i’m looking forward to starting up the routine again.
So my recommendation to you - go take a yoga class - do some workin’ out - go get that mojo flowing! You’ll come back ready to go crazy and blow it up - i mean in a good way. But don’t leave it just at that…get inspired and do some thing totally crazy. Let loose, do that thing - one thing - you’ve been putting off for too long. What’re you gonna do, mope around for the rest of your life about that thing you could have done that would have made you - but you didn’t cause you had some fricken responsibilities or you were to afraid of failure? Come on! - suck it up - i’m tired of hearing all this crying about the economy!
Here’s some inspiration for you from Vito Corleone, the godfather himself….
<
Whatever you do - make it something unforgettable. Hey, if you feel like it tell me about it too - i’d love to hear it! - send me an email or …*gasp* write in the comments.
Que viva!!!
Here, I picked out a special song for you……
Prince - lets go crazy!
We’re all excited
But we don’t know why
Maybe it’s cuz
We’re all gonna dieAnd when we do (When we do)
What’s it all 4 (What’s it all 4)
U better live now
Before the grim reaper come knocking on your doorTell me, are we gonna let de-elevator bring us down
Oh, no let’s go!Let’s go crazy
Let’s get nuts
Look 4 the purple banana
‘Til they put us in the truck, let’s go!-Let’s go crazy! by Prince

I am with you…life is short and none of us will live forever so might as well make the most out of each moment!
That’s right!
Nadia - you have a great new blog (that can be a pretty crazy venture in itself!) what big crazy thing are you going to do next - hey you can write about it too…!
Hi Satya,
Thanks so much on the compliment for my blog! I appreciate it. My next big crazy adventure? Hmmm…I am thinking of putting down the windows in my car while at a stop light and sing along to Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved” just to see the reaction I would get! I live on the East Coast and people can be a bit uptight. Seriously, I don’t know about you but people need to realize that although the economy may be tanking, there is no need to be afraid…there are no guarantees in life. Good for you for bringing that to people’s attention. Btw, would it be okay to put your blog on my blogroll? I don’t have one up yet but plan to do so this weekend. It would be awesome to include your site.
Have a beautiful day and keep smiling!
Prince! Love it.
yoga is the only thing besides pot and my guitar that takes me into the present. And whenever I’m present, I’m happy.

Thank you Paul! - ONE WORLD _ MANY PULSES _ ONE HEARTBEAT …….
I also have one of those magnets on my fridge but mine says: “Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” Yoga has really changed my life so far. It’s simply amazing!
Thanks Raphael -
ain’t that the TRUTH…!
you gotta let your Self create yourself (and recreate yourself every day) - or else life pretty creates you - and that’s not always too pretty……
