This totally raised my energy level: I Love it!

and now for something completely different…

Let’s Go Crazy! I’m tired of all the whining!

There’s a magnet on my fridge – not sure exactly how it got there, but it’s a quote from Thoreau. It says:

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.”

Now ordinarily i tend to sort of gloss over the grandiose inspirational quotes, cause there’s only so much fluff a person can handle in the oft-times harsh reality of life on this marvelous planet we call earth. Nevertheless, today the thing was beautiful to me – i dare say uplifting. I’ve been seeing that quote for ages and not paying much attention, but tonight it popped out at me. So what’s different?

Basically, I’m feeling a bit inspired, feeling like i just released a whole bunch of crap and now i can dance again – feelin’ like goin’ crazy and dancing through life. I’m still a cynical old curmudgeon when it comes to happiness formulas and spiritual mumbo-jumbo, but today is different. There’s a big secret here, though. Something i haven’t fessed up to yet….. This Frog Has a Song to Be Sung…

In the continued theme of humor to brighten any day or night (and, yes, at the risk of appearing completely ridiculous and irrelevant) i bring to you “This Frog”, my all-time favorite childhood sesame street tune, via Kermit the number one frog. At the time, of course, I had no clue about the nod to Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” – a correlation which makes it all the more brilliant now. If this doesn’t give you a laugh, i don’t know what will….

THIS FROG

This frog has to go his own way
This frog doesn’t care what the other frogs say
This frog wants to be happy, and this frog has to try
This frog is gonna make it or know the reason why
I’m not gonna sit here like some dumb old bump on a log
That isn’t me!
I’m gonna be this frog!

What is Enlightenment? Ask Master Puppetji

Possibly the last remaining true guru,
Puppetji shares the secret to world peace:

The Triumph of Love

In honor and support of the victims and hostages of the terrorist siege of Mumbai, and all victims of extremist violence around the world and here at home…

Celebrated in India for thousands of years, the Dussehra burning ritual closes the ten days of Hindu Navaratri festivals. Navaratri is a time of worship of the ‘Divine Mother’ – somewhat related to the western concept of mother nature. Honoring the legendary victory of King Rama over the ten-headed demon king Ravana who had abducted his beloved wife Sita, Dussehra celebrates the epic ten-day battle between Rama’s army of gods and men – including Vishnu and monkey-god Hanuman – and Ravana’s army of evil spirits and demons. With his hard-won victory, Rama’s beloved Sita is restored to his side and the forces of Love and light reign on earth again.

Symbolic of the triumph of light over darkness…the triumph of Love. Shot in the holy town of Laxman Jhula, India – just outside Rishikesh – where the Ganges River emerges at the foothills of the Himalayas. Halleluiah!
