I officially started this project and this quest for the holy grail of eternal bliss, enlightenment, and the “ultimate secret to never-ending happiness” around 2003 – 2004. I pretty much found the secret on my nearly year-long journey through India with a video camera, and I thought it was all taken care of, until I came home and I spent the next several years trying to find it again!THE HAPPINESS PROJECT
OK, so Here’s the Real Straight (Updated) Story:
I came back home to the harsh reality of life on this earth in a big city with limited resources, a heart full of bliss and passion, and a head full of great ideas, but no real solid foundation to stand on. Soon thereafter in 2006 my beloved sister, Ananda Colombo, was lost in a tragic car accident, and the world pretty much fell apart. I tried to drown my sorrows in endless work for the “industry” (aka Reality TV/Hollywood) and other dangerous occupations…
Around that time another great Happiness Project came into being, by a prolific blogger, Gretchen Rubin, who published a book earlier this year by the same name, which I am not affiliated with or endorsing whatsoever! 
Well needless to say, that all sorta’ knocked the wind out of me, but I was determined to carry on at all cost! The key thing being: This quest for enlightenment or true happiness or whatever you want to call it, is truly the greatest, most challenging and most beautiful thing I’ve ever had the joy and privilege to undertake. So, the show must go on!
Here’s me on my return trip to India in 2008 to try to pull together the pieces of my life and my quest for happiness, and complete shooting for the project!:
My name’s Satya Colombo (by the way) and I live in Los Angeles and Ashland, Oregon. I’ve been known by different names, including “Bali”, but Satya’s my real birth name, and it means “absolute truth.”
So What’s the DEAL?
Well I always figured this project would be long done before now, but the truth is, this project and this quest is a journey, and an experience, and it can’t rightly be bottled up, packaged, commodified and put on the market, because that just ain’t right!
The Absolute Truth cannot be sold and reduced into a commodity or financial transaction — it must be wholly experienced — cherished, loved and lived. And beyond that, I have zero interest in becoming a famous movie director, or selling this project for a profit…
So I’m now rebuilding, recreating and re-purposing the gorgeous, insightful and at times hilarious content I’ve shot and produced for this project over the past years (more than 150 hours total) and releasing it online in small bites under a new more fitting umbrella, with an updated fresh and living stream of delivery. It will all be free, and fun and accessible to ALL. (See, shhh… the secret is, it’s not really about “happiness” after all — that superficial feeling you get some times — it’s about true, deep, lasting life fulfillment, and that ineffably indefinable connection to the source of life, that only YOU can have and define. For yourself, with your own experience.)
Working for GOOD
This is my life’s work – to identify the most effective and direct paths to experiencing that divine knowledge and condense it into a system that anyone with half a brain and a dash of willpower can easily put into place. My hope is to be able to be of some service to the world by helping people skip over some of the countless years of suffering and arrive at the goal as quickly and gracefully as possible. This WAS my life’s work. Things have changed a little bit…
I sorta’ let go of some of that high-fallutin’ stuff a while back, and started an online media company so i could really be of service in the most direct way possible. It’s called: iEnvision Media: Social Marketing, Online Strategy, Transformation. I serve conscious companies and people working to make the world a better place, and I help to make a big impact in a lot of people’s lives. My life’s work is to help others and work in alignment with spirit — this is my life’s work.
About the Project
The whole idea for this project actually came to me way back in 2002 when I was living in New York City in the stormy post-9/11 days (watch my slightly nostalgic red carpet video from the Tribeca Film Festival back then with Mike Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Parker Posey and Sandra Bernhard) but the real adventure started when I took off to India a couple years later with just a one-way ticket and a dream: I wasn’t coming back ‘til I found out the secret – the True Secret – even if it killed me (and believe me it came close).
Miraculously, I ended up spending almost a year there, even though I only had about $300 to my name when I arrived, my video camera and a bag full of blank video tapes… Nothing I could tell you would ever come close to describing those times. It was the adventure of a lifetime.

I’ll tell you this much, though, based on what I learned in that vast cosmic time machine known as India, and many years of insane and otherwise otherworldly journeys in search of true happiness, I have been able to verify this one all-powerful and undeniable truth:
The single greatest source of absolute total bliss in the entire universe is actually – truly – absolutely within us all.
I’ve been so blessed to be able to experience this perfect and immeasurable bliss that it can no longer be contained, so I’m doing my best to share it with the world…
This is a true story, and a way of life. We’re not talking about those little moments of happiness, or the temporary joys of life – we’re talking hardcore, knock-you off-your-feet, blow the roof off the entire cosmic universe kind of happiness…
