There’s a magnet on my fridge – not sure exactly how it got there, but it’s a quote from Thoreau. It says:
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.”
Now ordinarily i tend to sort of gloss over the grandiose inspirational quotes, cause there’s only so much fluff a person can handle in the oft-times harsh reality of life on this marvelous planet we call earth. Nevertheless, today the thing was beautiful to me – i dare say uplifting. I’ve been seeing that quote for ages and not paying much attention, but tonight it popped out at me. So what’s different?
Basically, I’m feeling a bit inspired, feeling like i just released a whole bunch of crap and now i can dance again – feelin’ like goin’ crazy and dancing through life. I’m still a cynical old curmudgeon when it comes to happiness formulas and spiritual mumbo-jumbo, but today is different. There’s a big secret here, though. Something i haven’t fessed up to yet…..
